Guys get a kick out of girls asking them out, but it also raises some concern because it's so unusual. I'd say it's more attractive if a girl does not ask me out directly, but rather hangs out and pays a lot of attention to show that she's interested. If you see that he's trying to ask you, do help him out (he'll appreciate it). The main thing is not to be too pushy, because it makes guys think you're strange. You might ask him out or something if nothing else seems to work, but it's only as a last resort. It might be better to ask someone you know to mention to him that you like him. That approach rarely works for guys, but I'd expect it to work for girls.

Actually sometimes it can be pretty attractive, cause it shows that the girl actually does like you. You'd be suprised how nervous a guy can get just trying to ask the question, then not knowing if the girl really likes them, or just said yes cuz there to nice to say no. If you know the guy likes you and you like him, then theres no harm in being a bit forward.

I think it depends upon the man; you cannot really generalize. I know men that don't like it when a women asks them out, or they think less of the woman because she does. My personal opinion is that these individuals prefer to be in control and feel threatened by a strong woman.
I personally like strong, opinionated women. I hate trying to guess what a woman is thinking, I would rather she just tell me straight out as that is what I do (always in a respectful manner).
When I was single (married now) it was about 50:50 whether or not I asked a woman out or she asked me out. Ironically, I met my wife because her mother set us up :-o That was a first for me, but it worked out great.

depends on the self esteem value of the man
poor self esteemers might be turned off by a
woman foward enough to ask a man out
confident men typically do not mind
and are flattered a lady would ask them out

I'd be totally flattered if a girl asked me out...if a girl waited for me to ask her out, she'd be waiting a long time...it's not that i have a huge ego...me asking a girl out is like watching a train wreck

Depends on the age. Older women, like close to my age, can ask me out and I will be flattered. I would probably never turn that down. But chics don't do that ... guess it is a power thing.

I think it is cool when a girl ask you out. Sometimes guys get tired of being told no.

please ask him out, i have actually lost out on a couple pretty girls b/c i thought they had no interest in me and later found out that they liked me, this was when i was in highschool, this is 2006 dont be afraid to be yourself, and i hate games anyway.

would not matter to me if she ask or i asked as long as there was spark there that could lead into a fun date for both of us.
