She lives in Queensland, Australia, and really wants to meet other like minded females. She is a little bit shy, and her family and the rest of our friendship group does not approve. She really wants to meet another like minded female. Does anyone know of any groups or contacts? She is too embarrassed to even ask anonymously. Please help.

First of all, she needs to accept who she is and make the best of it. My brother is gay and he learned to love himself and make the best of who he is and he is an awesome person. If her family doesn't approve, she needs to learn that only she can get herself thru this. She needs to go out and get clothes that express her personality, hair, etc. Once she gets comfortable with herself, then it'll be easier to try to meet other chicks like her. Yes, Yahoo chat rooms - they're there for a reason and even tho Yahoo sucks, it's free. So just start out there, then it'll get easier.
