New category, same question.

My 13 yr son backtalks terribly, but doesn't see it. When I call him on it, he has replied "Backtalk? You don't know what backtalk is! You need to look up backtalk in the dictionary!" etc. Backtalking about backtalking. I just need to get him back in the real world, because he claims I am not a normal parent for making a big deal of his challenging me. My other kids aren't like this, BTW.

Well, i have this guy I like in school, and I don't just like him, i LOVE him. So i wanted to call him but i'm not his girlfriend and all but i really wanted to hear his voice. Lately i'm getting that feeling a lot. When i have a fight with my friends or when my pet died and i really want to call him but i'm afraid he's going to hate me. I think he's starting to like me but he doesn't addmit this (not that i asked) but i don't know if i should call him. Please help me!!!!!!!!

I really like this guy from my school. But his friends hate me. And one important thing I don't even know him. We're in the same grade but seperated from different groups. My friend brought a good point cuz I dont like my step-mom. And, she was like dont she have 2 adopt you 1st so you can be her step-daughter. And thats a good point. Does she? Or when my Dad got re-married she automatically became my step-mom.

Would like to hear response from someone knowledgeable about Catholicism.

Catholic wife discovers Catholic husband's 11 mo affair. She informs entire family, has him visit priest for absolution & cut-off affair.

Husband tells other woman (OW) he cannot divorce wife (they have 2 kids) because of duty & moral absolutes (i.e., no divorce). He loves wife, but is not in love with her. He loves OW, but cannot divorce wife. He is sorry. No contact for 2 - 3 mos.

Husband reinitates contact with OW a day after he & wife return from "Retrovaille" weekend (Catholic-based 'marriage encounter' for troubled marriages) which teaches principal that "Love is a decision." He tells OW he has decided to love wife & is trying very hard to do so, but feelings for OW have not changed. He is sorry. More time passes: 2-3 mos.

Husband again contacts OW that feelings for her have not changed. Says love for OW is non-decisional, meaning he feels it without having to try. He wants to see OW again.

I've been divorced for a couple years, my ex is remarried, and my fiance lives with the kids (6 and 8) and myself. I have always faithfully taken the kids to pick out xmas, birthday and father's day gifts for their dad....sometimes we just make him something special. I think this is an important thing to teach the children and I think it should be taught by us parents. My ex doesnt' do the same in return, nor does he even remind my children to say Happy Birthday or whatever (my fiance has started doing this recently) He doesnt bother to find out if someone else is taking care of it. His birthday just passed and for the 1st time the kids and I got him nothing. I dont' feel this is right, but I'm trying to make a point to him (which I dont' think is working). Do I buy him a father's day gift and be the better person, or just leave it up to someone in his family to go out of their way to do it(he and his family hate my fiance, but I have no prob with his wife).

If my chick tells me she needs me to leave her alone cuz it's too painful for her, and that there is a very real and good chance we would end up together if I don't(her words) and she doesn't want that to happen, why should I if I can win her back???We broke up 5 weeks ago and were supposed to be married this week. I don't see what the problem is. Love is emotions precipitated by action. Once you begin to act lovingly, the emotions are sure to follow. what's the problem here?

Alright, im not a girly girl. I drink beer like a champ. All my friends are guys, and they consider me one of them pretty much. Dont get me wrong, im not some butch lookin girl. i cant stand girls and their drama. me and my friends decided to give out end of the school year presents to each other. however, one of my mutual friends decided to give out gifts to everyone too, and i was caught off guard. i hadnt bought her one. since it was the last day of school, i really couldnt give anything to her... so instead i thanked her gracefully and said that i hadnt been able to buy gifts for ANYONE... BUT one of my close friends had shown my mutual friend the gift i had given her, so she totally knew i was lying! and she was talking about me behind my back to everyone else. like how i had lied and that she thought we were good friends but apparently not. what should i do/should have done?

I was in a situation where the guy cheated and played around then eventually broke up with me so he could do "his thing". Months later he got married and had a child. It's been 4 years since we broke up. If he hears about me dating someone he gets upset. What's up with that?
