My husband and I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise. We went for 5 nights. It was awesome.
We paid for it. It would have been nice if someone would have helped up pay for that, but that wasn't the case. We put it on a credit card and had it paid off in less than a year.

Sadly, our dream honeymoon was a flight to New York and then a cruise to Bermuda with a week's stay in Bermuda then fly back to either New York or Toronto. That was 10 years ago but, we paid for our own wedding and we were struggling at the time financially so the money just wasn't there. Things haven't changed and, though our 10th anniversary is Dec of this year, we, unfortunately still won't be able to get there and finally have our honeymoon... maybe in another 10 years.
My point.. well, everything we've read and been told about Bermuda makes it a dream place to have a honeymoon. Research first... then decide, but I don't think you'd be disappointed by a cruise and trip to Bermuda. Best of luck!

I'm not married, but......
My parents went to Florida 28 years ago. Stayed for a week, they paid.
My brother is going to Aruba in 2 weeks. Staying for a week. They bought the airline tickets, my parents traded a time share week in the Poconos to give them the hotel in Aruba.
Aunt and Uncle: also Florida, one week, don't know who paid. Co-worker: Florida, week, her parents.
My best friend wants to go to Amsterdam. She's looking at a week, they will be paying mostly, but I think her parents will chip in what they can and so will his.
I want to go to Ireland. 2 weeks. One in the West Counties and one in the Dublin area. Don't think I'll ever actually get married, so paying isn't a concern. :)

St. Louis Missouri for the first 1/2, Stevensville PA, to visit family for the second half. We were gone for a week. We paid for it out of our own hard earned money. Just like we paid for the wedding.

we flew to boston (from texas), rented a car, and drove all around new england for about a week. we only knew we had to be back in boston for the flight home. the trip was totally spontaneous and very fun. we paid for it, though we did receive some money gifts from my wife's dad and aunt, so we used that as well. we just aren't the type to go to some island or cruise, but to each his own. we wanted to go to europe originally, but could not afford it, so new england was our next choice. had a great time!

umm im not married but from what i've heard many people go to Hawaii, Europe, Any beach or anywhere you wanna go. You probally go for about 5-7 days and i think either you both pay or you use money from the wedding guests.

We went to the Cayman Islands to go diving. Her parents paid for the hotel and we paid for the rest. Was a great trip! Too bad the marriage didn't last. LOL

I went to Daytona Beach Florida through Fairfield resorts. Both of you should pay for it since you will now be married.
