Family & Relationships - 15 June 2006

I've reached that magic age (30) when all of my friends and I are established and educated enough etc. to have kids -- well, my friends are at least married and *accidentally* getting pregnant now....

Anyway - my husband and I are big into volunteerism and wanting to help people etc. AND I am pretty scared of the whole preg-labor-birthing process --

I personally think it's a little selfish to want to just have your own babies when there are thousands of kids all over the world who need good and loving homes. My husband and I would be able to teach kids a lot, make them feel really loved, provide lots of opportunities, and just help them become good, upstanding, smart people etc.

Any thoughts?

A plus size girl that is pretty.

P.S I know a lot of guys that date thin ugly girls... but cant date a big girl becuase they want to impress thier friends. why?

My husband thinks that our 19 yr old daughter should pay us rent. She is in college, works full time, has ALWAYS paid for her own things since age 15. She is the typical 19 yr old who likes to hang out with her friends nightly. She doesn't have a curfew but is pretty responsible about getting herself in my midnight when she has to work the next day. My husband doesn't like the fact that we have no control over her finances, she has chores around the home but doesn't always do them timely. She helps out by doing extra chores around the house on her days off. She really is a good kid. The two of them have never really had a good relationship but it has improved a lot over the last year, so I thought. He really just doesn't like how she spends her time (sleeping, going out) and thinks that we are subsidizing her going out. He feels that if he was being paid rent then he wouldn't care what she did. I disagree. I need advice, FAST!

My husband cheated on me w/ some movie actress wanna be he met on the set .So I moved out with my 4 yr old 3 months ago.Never looked back & concentrating on getting my life together. I'm financially secure as I have a great job.I look good and work out.There is a guy at work who wants to go out with me but he's willing to wait while I take time for myself.I have only slept w/ my husband.He made fun of me for not having experience in bed. My mom and dad and husband have had a very rough past. They have treated him like he is the dirt on their shoes-and he absolutely isn't! I think they completely envy him for taking me away from them and providing a better life for me. Anyways, there has been no contact with them for a year. We saw them about 2 months ago and my husband didn't want anything to do with them-he doesn't want them to touch or even see or children. I am due in 2 weeks and somehow they have found out that I am dialating and they are supposably going to show up at the hospital! I have no idea how they are finding out this stuff and if they show up...it's not going to be pretty. I don't want this stress! What do I do?????

As many of you advised me, i asked the guy i'm dating what our "status" was if there was interest...and he simply answered :
"I still answer your phones calls, and your messages are carefully read and answered. does that tell you im not interested?"
are those really signs? Im confused because perhaps im used to having a guy literally tell me [with plain words] that he likes me...am i asking too much?
