Any views? Would it have made a difference to the way we live now if they had acted instead of debated and got high?

Why should we take into account what is happening globally? How does what we do affect people outside our own locality?
Why should we think globally and act locally?

Last year I was in school...right.??
So...We had a party(with food)....and I made a mistake and put sauce on the wall..
So....my teacher starts yelling and saying WHAT IS THAT ORANGE STUFF ON THE WALL!!!??!!
So.....I say...Its Sauce!
She says....Why is the Sauce orange???

sooooo......I say......

The sauce on the wall is orange because my toxic waste didnt rinse throughly.
(then i said)...Your nostrils are giving me a fever.

So then everyone gets quite...and starts staring at me..
Then she kicks me out the class and tells me to tell go to the princibles office and tell him what I said...And I did..
And he starts laughing....then I couldnt go to school for a week.

Was it wrong what I said?
And why was it funny???
And also...When I came back to school they kept picking on my home town....calling me...Jersey Girl...Jersey Girl!!!!
Whats wrong with Jersey.....ummmm..brotha!!!

I see myself as a "nice guy" and a very sensitive guy. Im to nice to people and they treat me like **** to be honest. Im sick of it, i want to become more ruthless with these people, thats the only way they will take me seriously, instead of laughing at everything i say, its come to the point where i feel stupid if i say anything, because they always take it as a joke. I feel like im going to hurt someone soon, but i dont want that. Any tips, advice, is very appreciated.

In my area, I often see construction vehicles knocking down trees and leaving less and less space for the animals to live.

Every time I see this I get; sad, worried, grief, angry, etc.

Hows mother nature holding up in your neck of the woods?

In 2004 the quarter mile wide asteroid Apophis had odds of 1/63,000 chance of hitting Earth in April 2029, now the odds are 1/45,000. So far NASA says it'll pass at just 22,300 miles from us where our comms satellites are (MUCH closer than our Moon) - but you can read plenty online saying it'll be even closer. However, it's generally agreed that if Apophis doesn't hit in 2029 it's SURE to hit Earth in 2036, because of its orbital path.

Even if this giant rock doesn't hit us in 2029 it's going to tear through the upper atmosphere, disrupt our protective geomagnetic field surrounding Earth & will possibly destroy satellites too - & unless we can divert its orbit before 2025 it WILL hit in 2036 with the estimated power of FIVE Krakatoas (NASA). So is Apophis the GREATEST potential threat to mankind in our current list of hysterias that includes global warming & terrorism?

Now I don't mean the idealistic, everyone works together and shares everything kind of communism. I mean the actual, historical, massive government, government control, lack of freedoms communism.

Almost every actual environmentalist I have met, or read their writings, has advocated less federal govrnment and more local control and self reliance as a means to reduce our environmental impact. I say almost, because I might be forgetting one or two that didn't because they were so overshadowed by those that do. So where did this idea that all environmentalists are pro big government and want to take peoples individuality away come from?

It seems that the people who are most against the "green movement" because of their fear of government intervention (IE authoritarian government) might have more in common with the environmentalists than they realize.
