Some what.
In California our bald eagles and California condors are gradually making a comeback.
DDT made their shells too fragile and they would get crushed before they could hatch.

it will many years till the earth recovers from ddt thats why it was banned----there are many things you can do to help the environment check out this site

Better, but not out of the woods yet. There's a lot of political pressure to bring it back. People have short memories. Another Condor died in Ca quite recently. Lead is the biggest concern these days.

While it is bad for birds, and of course insects, DDT is not deadly to humans.

In the US...somewhat, but they use it a lot in less developed countries because it is cheap.
