If a pond in the winter is not frozen over and oxygen and other gases are able to be dissolved in it, at what depth in the water would fish be able to receive the largest amount of oxygen? Let's say the pond is exactly at sea level.

Melamine was the contaminant that killed dozens of pets across America, and now it has been found in the animal feed that chickens, pigs, and beef cattle eat. Not a lot, but some. How will it effect us, if at all? Should we take up vegetarianism until this matter is cleared up? And do you think this is one of those problems that the government knew the dangerous extent of, but never told for fear of causing a panic or hurting business?

i'm working on a project for my english class, relating to debate. my issue is global warming, and my stance is that it's not what the media says it is. i'm very frustrated with search engines like google and, unfortunately yahoo, that only give me "global warming is going to cause the extinction of people" and stuff like that.

if anyone knows a good website where i can find some information, especially about discoveries being made as ice caps are receding, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

OK, I admit living in Alaska I always laughed at people who would tell me about danger of Global Warming until resently I read many articles and actually saw on the news what is happening to our Polar Bears. But how a family can "pitch in" in the fight with Global Warming? What are the steps do to within a middle class family to stop this? Any advises? Thank you.

we put a stop to gobal warming? And to your republicans who are too stupid to do anything, we contribute more than 4%. And even IF we did contribute only 4%, let's make it 0%.

And would it be a good idea to get a bunch of bands together to raise awareness about global warming and to try to stop it?

My friends and I have a band, and we know a couple other ones, we could put a show on maybe.

Are there any organizations that compensate Brazil and it's people for maintaining the rain forest?

I'm just curious because it has value to people as farmland, but it has value as well for it's environmental benefits. It seems only logical that there would be something out there that offers compensation for maintaining it. So if you know of any places please let me know.
