It depends on the environment. Wood does not rot easily in a desert setting (something like the tombs in egypt).

Petrified wood does not rot, but it is not manmade.

Lastly, wood products soaked in creosote are not likely to rot either - but creosote is a hazardous material and all telephone poles soaked in it are "mini-Superfund sites."

in my garden in the tropics ,all wood is rotten with in 6 months some times half that (whole tree trunks)if it is lying on my mulched garden floor
if i put a plank on two brick pillars ,one meter high and varnish it .it can last more than 5 years
unvarnished one year

their are all kinds of wood but the bugs will attack all of them unless you do something to protect the wood from water ,and insects

Man made woods like triply .lasts a couple of weeks on a tropical mulched floor
