You know what I’m talking about. It has been in your collection for years. It might not get played for months at a time but when you do pull it out it is, “Wow! Why haven’t I been listening to this more?!?”

For me it has to be Myles Davis “Kind of Blue”.

I am getting pretty sad when I look at the questions and answers in the music category. People posting questions like "doesn't this band suck" or "I hate this band". It's really annoying because even though I may not like the same kind of music you like doesn't mean I'm going to judge you or "bash" the kind of music you like. I myself am a rocker, and yes I get mad when bands call themseves something they are not, but does anyone else feel this way?

I need as many answers as i can get. Please. It's for a school projects. The one who can give me the most number of songs gets the title of best answer. If the song's been mentioned by someone else, please dont include it in your answer anymore. Thanks!

If you're not sure, here's a few big ones:
70's
AC/DC
Cold Chisel
Rose Tattoo
Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs
The Angels
The Saints
Radio Birdman

80's
INXS
Midnight Oil
Crowded House
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Men at Work
Hunters and Collectors

90's & 00's
Silverchair
Powderfinger
You Am I
The Living End
Regurgitator
The Vines
Jet
The Butterfly Effect
Grinspoon
Wolfmother

Personally, I think we've got some of the best rock bands in the world, but I'm biased!

I am a child of the 80's and to this day, a lover of the music. Duran Duran, Bryan Adams, Men at Work, Bon Jovi (Wanted Dead or Alive!), Pat Benetar, REM, Billy Idol, just to scratch the surface but I was amazed to see how many of the 80’s musicians were dead! OK, I knew about Robert Palmer but, Michael Hutchence from the group INXS?!?! Stuart Adamson the lead singer from that group Big Country (In a Big Country), The drummer from Toto, Falco, (not “Rock me Amadeus!”), Dan Hartman, Patty Donahue of The Waitresses (I Know What Boys Like!) Laura Branigan! Please don’t tell me there are more - I cry easily :)

I always liked Van Halen, but just never got around to buying any of their records,I was too busy buying other rockers that turned out to be called classic rock later on,
so whats a good one to start my collection with?

what's everyone think? was an almost 5 year wait for TOOL's new CD worth the wait? I personally love the CD but there's not enough content to justify the wait.

what do you all think?

BNlink 182 broke up in 2005 and I've been listening to them from 2006 - Present and lot of people say that they either 'suck' or they are 'emo' (They're not emo!) Is Blink 182 still good?
