what's everyone think? was an almost 5 year wait for TOOL's new CD worth the wait? I personally love the CD but there's not enough content to justify the wait.

what do you all think?

I ask this now because it's been long enough for everyone to let the CD sink in, I know I didn't care for the CD at first, but then again I didn't care much for Lateralus when it was released

to everyone who misunderstood me.

the album name is 10,000 days, not how long it took to make.

sorry for the misunderstanding

Several of the 90's heavyweights have had disappointing efforts of late. You can throw Linkin Park in there too for good measure. Tool however did not let anyone down. This is a very good album with several strong tracks. I can easily justify the wait because you also got material from the equally awesome A Perfect Circle. But 10,000 Days is solid and compares well to anything else Tool has done.

I don't think the album took 5 years in the making. all the guys have side projects, some musical, some not. one of the reasons i think it took so long for this album to come out was the sucess Maynard had with A Perfect Circle, which was the most demanding side project of a Tool member. the good news is that Justin Chancellor has said it wont be as long of wait before the next album.
