I think they are it's so sad.I'm 17 and I hate the music that they try to put in people my age.I and I know a lot of my friends listen to a lot of rock from the 70s,80s,& 90s BECAUSE IT WAS JUST SO MUCH BETTER! I think there are no true real rocks band out there anymore I hope that will change very soon. But just as a thought to mtv and and everyone who thinks fall out boy is a rock band. There is a reason bands like guns n roses and acdc's greatest hit cds are and have been for years in the top best saling cds!

No way! They should never be an endagered specie! I know that the new bands cannot be considered rock, but what the hell! I think that rock singers are becoming an endagered specie because not that many new bands are rock.

i think real rock singers are. but then real rock is pretty hard to find nowadays. everything seems to corporate and even teen orientated.
i know i sound really bad by saying that but unless they can really sing/Raw with some individuality they just end up sounding like everybody else.
when are we going to get another Chris Cornell,
Kurt Cobain, David Bowie or David Gilmour?
who knows?
well here's hoping for something more.

Rock artists of the True kind...are now those of the late 90s..and early 2000!

yES. they are becoming a scare supply. The rock stars that you do get, they claim their fame before the first album. I on the other hand remain a untold story. Doing gigs, and remaining humble with thy Gibson SG in thine other hand.

Only in America. Meanwhile, in Europe, they breed out of control! They sing songs of giant space stations from the lost continent of Atlantis (Iron Savior), they sing of glorious shining knights riding forth to do battle with the forces of evil (DragonForce), and sometimes they just sing about pirates (Running Wild) or the joys of heavy metal (Primal Fear).

You got that right.
Long gone are the days of good rock n roll.
Anything worthy of listening to is refered to as old skool.
