I live in Arkansas and go to a decently sized high school. I have a 3.4 GPA with 6 AP classes. On the ACT, my best score was a 28, and I got an 1800 on the SAT. I want to got to Vanderbilt, but that seems to be out of my reach. So my two choice now are Texas or Arkansas university. I don't really want to go to the University of Arkansas, but I will if I can't get into Texas.

Here are my stats:

3.4 GPA - 6 AP classes taken
28 - ACT
1800 - SAT
183 - PSAT

Is that Texas worthy? Even scholorship worthy for Texas?

im not really that stupid. but i recieved a 1080 out of 2400 on the PSATs. im a sophmore. I bombed it!!!! I get all As and Bs in school but wow i cant believe how bad i did on this test! my weakest subject is math and i got a 310 on that! that basically screwed my whole score up but im only in geometry so i haven't been exposed to calclus and pre-calc questions that were on the PSATs. I'm 14, and in highschool. School sucks for me. It always has, and always will. I understand everything pretty much right away, so I just sit through boring lessons and exersizes. I don't do well grade-wise.
My dad was the same way, but he got the equivalent to a GED while he was in school. Do you know what this is and how you are eligible for it?

I took the SAT (a practice SAT) when I was in eighth grade because I was on high honor roll with distinction (average of 95 or above) and was invited to take it. I got an 1100. I got 10 points lower on the math (I had only had 3 months of Algebra one, and no geometry or Algebra two, so I didn't know the formulas) and 40 points higher on the english. Overall, I did better than the average senior who took this test. What score should I be aiming for in order to get a really good scholarship to a good music, science, or engineering college? This will be after algebra one and two, geometry, and pre-calculus.

I've been trying to work through The Princeton Review 11 Practice Tests for the SAT. Before I did a few tests from the collegeboard book and I've found that the Princeton Review book seems much harder than the collegeboard's - particularly the reading. Is it just me, or do other people feel the same?

Also, are the actual SATs easier, harder, or about the same as the Princeton Review SAT practice tests?

For instance, I know with the GRE the test scores are valid for five years after you have taken the test. What about the ACT?

I dont want to take KAPLAN or something that is designed to teach you HOW to take a test. i want to sign up for classes in my local community college which will help me with the test. what math classes? business classes? i studied economics in my undergrad. Also do they average the scores of your GMAT test together? if i had no preparation would it be a horrible idea to just sign up and take the test regardless? do they take your highest score or an average? how many times can you take it? THANKS
