according to my friends who got 2400 and 2390 and other above 2350s. the January one is the easiest
and people are done with their finals in December
you have time to study during winter break

i think u should take it when there are at least more than 2 other SAT chances that year. That way , you open more oppurtunities. January can be a month for studying for finals so i wouldn't suggest January. + winter break just ended so ppl tend to be lazy.

I'd suggest to start taking it early in the year and taking it more than once... that way you can get the score you want.

Depends on what grade you're in. I would take it once spring of sophomore year, once each semester junior year, and once fall semester senior year as early as possible (september or october).
