No... SATs are easy! Everyone scores 1600 on them! They give you points just for showing up!
Don't listen to other people it only adds to test anxiety. SATs are aptitude tests designed to evaluate your schoolability. You either have it, or you don't. If you are a sharp kid, then you will do well. Just get a good nights sleep before the test, eat a good breakfast, and stay as close to your normal routine as you can before the test. Relax and enjoy the test, and you will be OK

i have not taken the new SAT's but the old ones werent bad at all. They last a few hours, but you have short breaks in between. The trick with the SAT math is to consider every possible scenario. Depending on the type of question remember that the answer may or may not ALWAYS be the same. The English section was
also nothing to fret over. Use roots of words to try to guess best. Remember its better to leave the question blank if you really have no idea. You get points taken off for wrong answers, but just get 0 if you didnt answer. You actually dont need to answer every question right to get a perfect score. The SAT is sort of graded on a curve. If you cant eliminate at least one answer for sure, its not worth guessing. Also, i wouldnt recommend any SAT courses, they are usually over priced and dont help much. You can get the same results from an SAT practice book. Also, start taking them early, that way you can re-take it as many times as you want. Colleges just look at your best score. Some will let you take your top Math and top Verbal score from different dates and use those as your combined score. So, my best advice, use some practice books to get the hang of how the test is done, then just relax, remember you can ALWAYS re-do the test.
Collegeboard.com also has alot of other helpful tips and is just a great sight for ANY questions about college or anything college related.
Hope this helps!

They're certainly not easy. I think the hardest part for most students is just sitting in one place and concentrating for that long, and being up so early. When I took it last time, we had to arrive at 7:45, and we just stood in a hall for an hour. We didn't start the test till nearly 9:30 and didn't get out till almost 1. Just study the subjects, get an SAT prep book and learn some skills and tricks. Take some practice tests, and go to bed early the night before. Then it won't be hard.

I understand the SATs; I got a 2330. And I still think it's hard. It's not the questions themselves so much as it is the actual test. It's hard to get up early on a Saturday and sit in a badly lit, deathly quiet room with strangers for four-odd hours, just knowing that your future is being decided with every bubble you fill in, or leave blank. That's more difficult than the actual material, in my opinion.
But don't freak out. Take a prep class or read a prep book so that you are familiar with test procedures, and also so you brush up on the material. You can't study for the test, but you can improve your score simply by paying attention in school. Also, if possible, start taking your SATs early in your junior year so that you have plenty of chances to retake them. Colleges look at your highest score, so if you freak out the first time and blow it, don't sweat; take them again asap.
Yes the SATs are hard, but no where near impossible. Good luck!

If you've ever taken a standardized test, it's a lot like that. It's just a really long test and by the end you're mentally exhausted. My advice is to just take an SAT course or get an SAT book and take practice tests from the book. You can decide for yourself how hard they are after you've tried the stuff in the books or in the course.

they furnish you with a quote and examine to reply with the help of both agreeing or disagreeing. see you later as you decrease back up your answer with information, then you extremely might want to be able to receive an widely used score. SAT practice books furnish you with some pattern questions - try searching at those :)
