What other college application tests are available besides the SAT?

What is a normal SAT score. I want to know because I am studying on the SATs and want to know what scores people generally get.

I am taking the GRE soon (next 4-5months) but been out of school since 2001. What are some good studying tips for a person who has not had to do it in so long? I also work full time and I am very afraid that I won't be able to balance my time propperly.

for example... I did IQ tests online..but it was English.
I am not English...I don't even understand some of the questions becuse of my English..
What I am looking for is a test which doesn't require much English.

Does the Official SAT Study Guide book really increase student's SAT scores greatly if a student studies a lot? On average, how many points does a student raise if he/she studies the book and has already taken the SAT test before?

I was wondering whether or not I should take the LSAT prep classes or if a couple days of diligent studying will accomplish the same thing. I have been told that the professors teach straight from the book so there is no need to spend $1000 on the classses. I dont want to spend all that money of it isnt going to help me.

I got 800 on my math section when i first took the SAT but didn't do so well on the other two. On my second time I got better score on my reading and writing but I missed a math problem. Would colleges look at my math score from the first test and the other two scores from the second test? I know for the ACT, they only look at the combined score, not as sections.

I heard at school (from friends, so this could be false) that because I'd like to attend college out of state (I live in Ohio) I'm going to have to take the SAT rather than the ACT. Does anyone know if this is true? I'd much rather take the ACT.

trying to attend UCLA, UC Berkeley, or UC Irvine

hi. finished hs (mater dei). some college (irvine valley). during hs: gpa=2.83 in regular classes (sat=1140 (v=600,m=540) act=26 (e=29,r=28,sr=23,m=24) currently 20 y.o., have completed 6 college courses, writing1=A, art(painting)=C, Hum.4 culture=B, Hum.22 religion=B, astronomy=C, macroeconomics=F. current college gpa=~2.33

what should i do from here?

both tests were first try no prep at 16 years old

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

also, as far as gpa goes, effort = F, so results shown are not totally reflective of true ability
