Dude, if your effort is really "F" level, then I hope you never set foot on Berkeley's campus. You simply don't deserve it. Even if you did get in (though implausible considering the F on your transcript and current 2.33 GPA), Berkeley is not an environment for people who don't put a lot of effort into their work. The place is extremely competitive, and students are proud of their reputation for not being coddled through school.

If you still need to provide SAT scores, retake the test. A 1140 on the old exam is not competitive for admission to Berkeley. I know 1380's (old SAT) who got rejected.

The best thing I could advise is that you amp the effort and show a marked increase in grades from here on out. An upswing in performance shows a lot and schools like that.

But hey, if you can't get your s*** together and give an effort, you don't have what it takes to be a Golden Bear.

It's going to make a difference when you graduate. Employers are much more impressed by degrees from some schools than others. There's nothing wrong with Irvine, but it's certainly not in a league with USC or Berkeley. Do your own research on the schools and the programs you might major in. All those schools have great campuses, and lots of student life going on. Claremont McKenna is not a great school, but the Claremont Colleges complex is wonderful, and you can take courses from the other schools in the complex. Harvey Mudd is a very highly ranked engineering school. However, a degree from Clarement McKenna is really not going to open many doors for you. It sound like you might be from a cultural group where parents really expect their children to treat their opinions with respect. You may have to work out a compromise with your parents. Don't believe too much what the reps from the schools say- they're trying to recruit you.

Get some Adderall from a doctor, and tell him you have ADD, because you obviously arent motivated and dont think your going to berkely or ucla with F's on your very limited transcripts. and no one cares when you took your tests or your "true ability" , that sounds like sum **** ur mom told you. your gonna need close to a 3.0 for those( as in 2.85 MINIMUM)

now after you get those pills(TRUST ME IT WORKED FOR ME) go to a community college for at LEAST semester and ace the hell out of those courses . i was in your shoes and now Im at Uconn bro.

dont get mad other cats r gonna tell u some stupid OhhAwwww try harder crap but im tellin u the way it is and the way to succeed. if you want your life to end up good head my words your the same age as me.
