On the new test the average is between 1400-1800. This is out of the 2400 scale. The person who said 2020 is wrong, anything above 2000 is very good on the new sat.

I got a 1400 on 1600 scale...Don't worry too much if your GPA is above a 3.0. The average SAT score, based on a 1600 scale, is 1000. Which means most students attain that score in the country.

i got a 1280 out of 1600.i know how it is to stress it, but if you have a good gpa and curriculum you will do with a 600-700 on each part. you should check if your state has scholarships for certain score ranges. i live in florida and my goal was a 1270 so i could get 100% paid to a state university, or other scholarships. :)

1280 combined. But that was back when they didn't have a written portion. I think average was between 800 and 1000 back then. I graduated from HS with a 3.75 and from college with a 4.0
My SAT was well above average as I understand it.

1130 back in 1995. (500 math, 630 verbal)
But, I had a 3.65 GPA in high school and a 3.8 in college. I didn't test as well as I preformed.
