Hey, if the reason not to stay on Daylight Savings Time year round is kids going to school in the dark, why don't we have them goto school later?? I love DST, but hate standard time and changing the time 2x a year. Also, please feel free to give your opinions on DST.

My daughter right now is 10 years old and in 5th grade. The school,tachers, pirncaple says she is very smart and is eliblge to skip 2 grades, which is up to 7th grade... and if they say if 7th grade is to hard for her they can move her down to 6th grade.
Should I let my daughter skip 2 grades? or just one? or none?

My 6 yo daughter is scary brilliant. She's reading Harry Potter, and anything else she can get her hands on. The teachers and principal want to skip her to 2nd grade. Obviously, you don't know my situation - but BASED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE what would you say to me?

I's read yoo posts and most peepls don't even use puncuation...I's thkns its hard to undersan some peeples point when none punctuation used. Peeple don't spells good either. They tolk abouts how about America is the BESSt and the SMART, but they donn right very goodf. I think it funny...you knowe. The irony of it. I think they stupid fawking azz and very stupid also./ How cann counrty be good an smartt, when the peeple don understan language...

It actually is very funny and quite ironic if you think about it. We fear a poor education, yet many children are just illiterate because they don't care. You can't be a scientist if you don't understand math. You can't be a manager if you can't write. I'm not talking about the "cell phone" short hand or a few misspelled words. I'm talking about the real posts where they try to write and they just can't. I need to just learn to laugh...and then tell those people to clean the floor well when they work for me.

I found out that both of the kids in my neighborhood having trouble in school with learning. My niece and also this girl accross the street and they was both in the same kindergarten class. The girl's mom said she think that it was because how the teacher was teaching them and i heard that they don't think the teacher teached them much in kindergarten. My niece is going to be getting a tutor. She is below grade level that is what the teacher said, and some of her sounds , she doesn't know, She gets some mixed up the sounds.
My niece is in 1st grade and the girl accross the street is also in 1st grade. It also says that she has trouble with following oral and written directions,she also has trouble with working independent, and some other problems, she is also has trouble with written spelling tests. She did better on oral test.

My sister went to her daughter's conference today.
She is having with adding and subtracting.
What do you all think?
