Hey, if the reason not to stay on Daylight Savings Time year round is kids going to school in the dark, why don't we have them goto school later?? I love DST, but hate standard time and changing the time 2x a year. Also, please feel free to give your opinions on DST.

I agree with you. The kids would love it to if they could go to school an hour later. There are a lot of parents that would like it because it is so hard to get the kids up that early and get them fed before the bus get there to pick them up. Arizona is the only state that doesn't change. I think all states should put it up for a vote. I live in the mountain time zone and only 25 miles away from the central time zone..

I am in favour of DST. Re the concern about kids going to school in the dark: how is that truely any different from kids coming home in the dark during standard time? So that is an invalid reason. As for other reasons for not staying on DST, sorry, no idea.

I Think it should stay one time or the other, although I don't have a problem with the change. I think it is mostly mental attitude as to how one deals with it. I set my clocks up or back early in the day on the Saturday before and hardly notice the change.

I've wondered if it's a conspiracy of the golfers to give them more time to play after work. Ha!

I hate changing the clocks. Face it, the kids are still going to school in the dark come Jan. and then they are coming home in the dark too. So why bother? It messes everything up at work twice a year (I work over night) and doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities...so why bother?!!
