my granddaughter is 4 years old and loves looking at photos of animals. i am still learning how to use the computer and it takes me so long looking around and she gets bored waiting

my child goes to a christian preschool, and i volunteered to do a candy/food craft for tomorrow. i had the cutest idea of making eyeballs with nilla wafers and lifesavers, but they said its too ghoulish.so, what i need is a cute, original idea for a "fall" craft... it can involve anything to do with fall... like, pumpkin,scarecrow,etc.... and it needs to be candy or edible and kind of simple. i will be sure to give best answer to the cutest idea! thanks so much!

My 3 year old daughter has been going to preschool for 4 wks. She goes 2 mornings per week. My son is 4 & he goes too (another class) We hadn't even planned on putting her in till next year but she really wanted to go. She was excited at first but after the first couple of days she started saying she doesn't want to go. That she misses me & she doesn't like it. I know she is fine & she would get used to it if I left her in but there really isn't a "need" she is ahead as far as letters, phonics, adding etc. and she goes to play groups & sunday school. She has next year to go to preschool before going to kindergarten the year after.

my 4 yr old cannot put his shoes on the right feet, he cannot button his pants still wets the bed and cannot say his abc's or count to 10 no matter how much I have worked with him, it seems his mom whom he is with sun thru thurs. is not working with him at all, me and my wife are at our witts end with his mom and don't what to do any help will be appreciated ....

I saw on my son's list of things to bring on his first day of preschool, and one of those things were $5 for a school shirt to be worn when they go on field trips. Aren't these children too young to be doing this? This is our only son, and with preschool being the 'first' place we have ever left our son, I'm a little conerned. I mean, we haven't even left him with a babysitter, nor have we ever put him in a day care setting. So I'm a little unaware of what kind of field trips they provide for preschoolers. I don't want to keep my son from learning, but my fear is that my son will somehow get lost, or kidnapped, or hurt being off school grounds. I know I must sound like a paranoid parent, but I'm truly concerned, and I need some advice from other parents with their children in preschool, or if there is a preschool teacher out there who can answer this and give me some positive feedback. I will ask my son's teacher about this come Monday morning, but....to B cont...

I am a FT Grad Student with a double major in CD and Special ED. In June, I will be earning another AA in CD and my CD permit. I am trying to decide if I should I continue to work as a Substitute Teacher in public schools or secure a position as a preschool teacher at a private school.

Preschool Teachers....

1. Are the employed FT?
2. Do they receive benefits?
3. Are they required to provide their own curriculum, materials and lesson plans?

Info and suggestions appreciated.

He repeats whatever he says in whispers..like this morning I asked about his homework, and said "I put my homework in my backpack last nite"...then he whispered "I put my homework in my backpack"
He started about a month ago,,,,I dont know if its just a childhood thing that he'll out grow or if I should conuslt his doc.
He seems to repeat the end of his sentences....and he is whispering to himself.
is that normal?

Hello all! I need help with how to phrase a report card
comment. I have a girl in my three year old class who is
very mature and independent. However, she "knows" how
intelligent she is and she wants to be like the little
teacher. She is constantly helping her classmates with
tasks such as unzipping their backpacks, hanging up their
items in the coatroom, putting a puzzle together, etc. She
is almost smothering them and not allowing them to do
things for themselves. She also tattles constantly. How do

What are everyones thoughts on a business that distributes bulletin board packages to daycares and schools. the kit will include all of the cutouts (laminated) that you will need for each bulletin board. i think it is a neat idea and a service could also be offered to put up the bulletin board.
