I'm in the tenth grade, and I'm really into medicine.. This year is crucial for me, but I have this urge to study medicine right from now. I search the net and all that... I have two sides in me.. the first says to study the tenth grade books, the second says to study both, tenth grade and medicine. I want to become a great doctor. What do I do? My husband went to the bank with me today to set up a joint account.He's been with that bank for a few years now.When we gave them our SSNs, there were 2 different people with the same number, having accounts with that bank already. How can 2 people share the same Social Security Number?? They told us to report it to the Social Security, my husband monitors his credit reports but it has never come up. It's a different name, address, date of birth -just the same number...

Some background...my daughter is an 8th grader and has always been a straight A student. She takes accellerated English classes and also takes Geometry with high school sophomores. She's involved in extra curricular activities and until now she has NEVER had a teacher that didn't like her.

This year she has gotten an A- for both semesters in one class. It's an 8th grade class and will not affect her high school GPA next year. Our school has an online gradebook that I can see all my daughter's scores for the whole year. The ONLY thing she scores low in for the class is "participation". ALL other grades are high A's. She doesn't understand why she is getting a low participation grade because she always does what she is supposed to do, but she thinks that the teacher doesn't like her because she isn't "girly" enough (hasn't started wearing make-up, wears jeans & t-shirts, etc.). An A- isn't a big deal to me, but she is upset because she works so hard.

Alaska (49th state) was admitted to the Union on 1-3-59 and Hawaii (50th state) on 8-21-59. Was a new flag with 49 stars designed between the time Alasks joined the United States and Hawaii gained statehood? Or did we skip right from the flag with 48 stars to our present American flag with 50 stars?

A short commute and good schools are our main priorities, any advice on the best areas to live would be great--we heard Orange Park is nice, but awful commute to base, so now we're looking in Mandarin, but concerned the schools aren't as good.
