If something is marketable, it can be sold easily. In Beckham's case, he can be used to promote all sorts of spin-offs, merchandise etc. Kit, dolls? stuff with hisname/pic on will sell well & make lots of money. Brand Beckham (David& Victoria) Hope this helps.

It means he has qualities that are worth money because people will buy into the dream of having what he has and being like him. That's why advertisers will pay him a lot of money to say he uses or wears a particular brand or product.

It means that money could be made in advertising and endorsements of products etc.
If someone has a marketable skill then they have a skill that others would pay money for (for them to work for them).
