I'm in the tenth grade, and I'm really into medicine.. This year is crucial for me, but I have this urge to study medicine right from now. I search the net and all that... I have two sides in me.. the first says to study the tenth grade books, the second says to study both, tenth grade and medicine. I want to become a great doctor. What do I do? Do I follow the first side of me???

How about answering this question: "Any one out there studying medicine?? Wanna ask sum questions?" Sound familiar? What was the point of posting that question if you're not even a doctor?? I should have known better than answering that when you spelled the word "some" incorrectly!

Well, its not like you can just study medicine and then be a doctor. You are going to have to graduate from high school and then go from there. Concentrate on getting your school work done and then use your spare time to read up on the things that interest you. Otherwise, you'll just end up with a vast knowledge of medicine and no way to apply that knowledge.

My son is going into 9th and wants to be a vet. He is always getting biology books and such. As long as you get A's in your 10th grade classes study what you like in your free reading time. It can't hurt.

Focus on all of you science classes in school first, and don't forget about math. A doctor has to be good at math also.

Do high school like everyone else, but focus on biology and chemistry, (if your school has a biochemistry that is even better). Then when you get to college major in pre-med. Then go to med school.
