Looking for a good area in Florida to raise children.?

We are moving to Florida in about a year and was trying to see if any areas (cities) were better than others with regards to a good public school system?

Check well, in detail... seriously. Though I do love living here, but I have chosen to homeschool so I don't have to deal with my kids in the ps system. My job brings me to about 100 public schools here per year, though, and many of them I'm not thrilled with what I see inside of them, how the kids are treated in some, etc. Teachers are not paid well here and many have been lost to other states over the years. Many of them are not experts in their subject or even in the field of education-- you are only required to have a bachelors degree to work in the schools here. Even the good teachers have their hands tied because the state is so focused on the standardized test scores, the teachers are required to spend a great deal of the learning time preparing kids for this test-- and the results across the board have not been impressive. I've seen some really good schools, but they are scattered around and you'd have to weed them out depending on where you want to live. You might want to check out the florida dept. of ed here http://schoolgrades.fldoe.org/. They give the schools grades, so you can probably search for "A" schools, though the grades are, to my understanding, largely, if not entirely, based on the standardized test scores.
