I was just wondering if anybody knows about a nurse to paramedic bridge program, where nurses can become paramedics without going through the entire paramedic course. Or can e.r./trauma nurses just work on 911 ambulances?

My daughter is in the 11th grade and she has already transfered once in her high school career. However i have recently noticed the extremely rowdy behaviour (ex. students bringing knives to school and frequent fights) of the students at her school and i am deeply concerned for her safety. I would really like to transfer her out of her current school but i do not know how that would look on her college resume. If anyone can please help me, i would really like to know if frequent school transfers affect your chances of getting into prestigious colleges. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank You.

I'm a senior in high school and i have to pick a college and a major. at first i thought social sciences, political science, social work. but then i thought maybe law, it would be good to know what people can and can't do, the constitution and whatnot. All i want to do is help people in every aspect of their lives, i want to be the go-to-person, if its family issues, financial, political,
their rights, etc. i think i may be biting off more than i can chew, i don't know. i just need to hurry up an find out what i'm going to do before it's too late. i know people say i have plenty of time, but it doesn't feel that way, so i would rather make a decision now. should i do social science or law, or both? it's just so confusing.

I have alot of friends in public school and definately have the chance of being very popular and enjoying my highschool years more

academically, the school i am currently attending has a very good reputation and would look great on college applications

the only thing is that there are a ton of rich snobby gossip girls there
I have good friends, but I hate trying to cope with the other people

highschool is supposed to be the "golden years"
well, for me, in private school, not being rediculously rich; it SUCKS

should I switch?? I don't want to leave my friends behind but we would still talk and hang out... and public school would just make my life 100% easier...

I am moving back to the states in about a year and half (thank god!!) to start up college...headed to glendale heights, illinois. Anyone know of colleges close to there?

Whats the SAT like, anyway to perpare for it? How many SAT's do u have to take? I'm currently a freshman?
I'm planning to take it in junior year, but I heard it is best to perpare for it now. I nearly know nothing about SAT, how many sat's do u need to take? do u only take one test, that is required?
I really SUCK at math, I suck at geometery and algebra.

I took the SAT recently and scored a 1970. Got the following:

CR: 590
Math: 650
Writing: 730

Is this a good score? I know I can do much better and am aiming for a 2200 now. I have a 4.028 GPA and rank 22 out of 652, top 3%. What can I do to improve my score? Also, what kind of schools for engineering do you think I could get into? I'm thinking:

Ohio State(live in Ohio)
University of Illinois-Urbana
Carnegie Mellon
University of Michigan
Purdue

My tutor isi awesome, we laugh, and hangout
shes like my age (14) but
shes my teacher and tutor.
the thing is she teaches
the danceteam,
and the cheerleaders
she stereotypes against
any girl or boy whose not in a poloshirt
or a namebrand article of
clothing. She's nice and everything
but I'm not a girly girl, I'm kinda
the "punk" girl. I don't have weird
piercings or anything,
I just wear different shoes and don't
wear American Eagle Hollister, Abercrombie, ect.
I wear Pac Sun, Hottopic, Adeline St, ect
She made fun of my skating shoes, and
she makes fun of the way my brother dresses
(he's very skater) I feel offended when she says

I have heard opinions both ways but would really like to hear from people that have had experiences good or bad with having a GED. I am in my early 30's with a 9th grade education. Yes I know I have put it off for way to long. I have always had a problem with low self esteem due to the way I was raised verbal being just one of the abuses I had to deal with but with the support of many friends & family I have finally decided to suck it up and get on with my life for my kids sake & so I can support myself if the need ever arises

Please this is a serious question so leave the insults for the ones on this site who deserve them but I do take constructive criticism

Also is the essay part really hard? I was always bad at written essays(writers block) but would do great with on the spot verbals

Okay, so in school I guess I do alright, I love to help people when they're in need and I try almost everything in my power to help them. Including stopping all tasks of my own to help them first. However, I'm not the class genius and I have my own struggles as well. But it seems as though, everytime I seek help from my fellow classmates they always seem to give me the same repetitive answer that's just in different forms, "I don't know" or "I dunno".

So.. exactly how do I solve this problem?

Should I go to school today. I just came from my dads funeral because he died. My mom said I could go to school tomorrow or not. I don't have that much to do on school. I think I should go and then I think I shouldn't. What do you think.
