I want to teach myself a British accsent.(long story) Is that possible even though I don't live there? If it is possible, do you know how to teach myself one?

Well in the UK there are hundreds of accents.There' Irish,Scottish,Welsh and English Each of these countries has various accents.To speak proper english,listen to news readers or people who don't have an accent.That's the easiest to learn.Be warned though,it's very difficult to lose the accent you have.I think the easiest accent to aquire is the irish.The most difficult scots.But if you put your mind to it,it can be done

Yes. Though it takes a keen ear. My best advice is to rent movies and practice the small intonations you hear.

that's not an accent... that's just bending your voice.

accent's come naturally... and you have to be exposed to an accent in order to adopt it in a way.. then it's not authentic.
