The high school I want to attend need to have a essay include in the application. I need to find a good topic for it, but the topic shouldn't be too broad, and I want it to at least be around 1 page. No topic that need to be research or too complicated, any kind is fine, but I don't want to write a persuasive essay.

I am doing homework with my brother :(.

Is it correct to say : figure out the freezing point of all types of liquids and record it.
Or we should write" figure out the freezing pointS of all types of liquids and record THEM". I am confused. If there are any other mistakes, please let me know.

Thank you so much, guys! :) :D

A - 1
B - 2
C - 3

I picked E) 5. I'm doubtful of its correctness, so can anyone clarify or give me pointers how to arrive at the correct answer if I'm wrong?

P=250×2^(35/66)=361.05...

The question comes from a math book that doesn't give any reason how the 361 came about.
apparently 2 to the power of 0.53... times 250 equals 361.05... but I have no idea how that works. Does anyone here have a clue how an exponent can be a fraction? please don't confuse the question as a fraction with an exponent, I mean the exponent is a fraction.

Help me with this geometry question, please?
And show your work?
D: I need to understand this.
Thank you!

3. Answer the questions below based on the target pictured. You may assume the dart hits the target every time. Hint: Leave your solutions in terms of pi; do not multiply by 3.14. Simply write “pi” for the pi symbol.
A target is drawn with 4 concentric circles. The innermost circle is red with a radius of 2, the yellow ring has a radius of 3 more than the red, the blue ring has a radius of 3 more than the yellow and the green has a radius of 3 more than the blue.

Image: http://i21.tinypic.com/11v07bo.gif
Part a) Find the geometric probability of throwing a dart and hitting the red circle.
Part b) Find the geometric probability of throwing a dart and hitting the blue or green rings.
Part c) Find the geometric probability of throwing a dart and hitting the yellow ring using your answers for parts a and b.
