I am doing homework with my brother :(.

Is it correct to say : figure out the freezing point of all types of liquids and record it.
Or we should write" figure out the freezing pointS of all types of liquids and record THEM". I am confused. If there are any other mistakes, please let me know.

Thank you so much, guys! :) :D

Make a written record of the freezing temperature for all types of liquid.

To the thumbs down troll-When I see 20 consecutive thumbs down in a row I know a troll is on the prowl. I can't change my own but I did thumbs up everyone else.

Well first of all you need to capitalize the F in Figure. And the second type is correct. Because you have more than one freezing point, the subjects must agree. Any time there is more than one thing the pronoun has to be plural also. so it should state, "FIGURE OUT THE FREEZING POINTS OF ALL TYPES OF LIQUIDS AND RECORD THEM!"
This relates to the grammatical number.

Assuming there are different freezing points, then use the plural form - figure out the freezing pointS of all types of liquids and record THEM"

If the freezing point is always the same, use the singular instead.

There is only one point where liquid freezes
so you would not make point plural. The
sentence should read: Figure out the freezing
point for all types of liquid and record them.

im very good at grammar and such. I would say the 2nd one. but it depends if you are talking about 1 freezing point or more than one freezing point. If one, say: Figure out the freezing point of all types of liquids and record it. Because your subject would be freezing point and thats why you would treat it as a synonym...hope this isnt too confusing and helps

figure out the freezing points of all types of liquids and record them

I think both are wrong:

Figure out the freezing point of all types of liquids and record them.

If you have pointS than it seems like there is more than one for each liquid, and it sounds like there is only one total...Hope this helps!
