By examples. A soccer game in space ( no gravity or friction). The ball remains at rest until acted on by a net force (kick). Doesn't stop unless someone stops it. The Concept of the ball stopping because it hits the ground and friction of air can be added later.
The same sort of situation can be used for his other laws.
