1) Reuse and recycle materials that you CAN reuse and recycle.

2) Get energy - efficient devices and appliances.

3) Walk, cycle, carpool or use public transport as much as is possible. Use less fuel and release less carbon.

4) Go Veg! This keeps animals that are important to the ecosystem alive. Besides, veg is healthier too.

5) If you have a partner, no (more) children. Make that clear. Every human being consumes so much of the environment. Reducing population has other advantages too.

6) Resources must not be overused even if renewable. Villagers in India and other people exploited groundwater so much that it can no longer be called renewable.

7) Plant a tree. Perhaps every month, perhaps each week, perhaps only on your birthday. But please do it. Get as many people involved as possible.

8) Use email more often than post. Wastes no paper.

9) Take printouts and xerox copies only if you have to.

10) Please do NOT get rid of recyclable materials by burying or burning. That causes more harm than you think.

11) make sure any material you buy is not animal-tested. Check sprays, fridges and air-conditioners if they are eco-friendly. These are known to emit CFCs, the ozone layers worst enemy.

12) Turn off the lights when you leave a room. Or get those movement sensitive lights they sell nowadays, that go off automatically when nobody's in the room.

Some of the above are good even from the health point of view.

Remember,
"We have not inherited the world from our forefathers. We have borrowed it from our children."

I'm no tree hugger, but we have to conserve what we have, and find ways to replace things like fossil fuel. I really thought we would be farther along at this point than we are.
In the 70's they took lead out of gas, and put catalytic converters on cars. We still have those.
Hy-bird cars were a bit slower in coming, and there are even plans for larger trucks and cars to go hybrid.
Here is what we have done personally.
We have had only one car/truck for the last two years. We both work about 2 miles apart, so we ride together.
We also moved closer to our jobs, we had a 27 mile commute each way. Now it's about 5.
We changed every light bulb in the house to CFLs, the fluorescent ones that use 13w and put out the light of a 60w.
Their only environmentally unsafe if their broken. They contain some mercury and other gases. But they save allot of money. Lighting according to the power company is about a third of your monthly bill.
We recycle aluminum cans, but we could do better and recycle glass and plastic too. Gives us something to work on.

The ever rising increase of sexual sins are what is killing this planet one microbe at a time! The earth needs to turn completely away from the way it is today, & turn completely towards the keeping of the 613 LAWS OF FATHER YAHWEH, which contain laws pertaining marraige, adutary, & fornication; all of which are commonly acceptable in today's life styles!!!
