I have a strong suspicion that f(x + 1) is a function - that f is not a variable. If that's the case, then we'd need to know exactly what f(x) is before we could sketch it.

Fortunately, we can talk about what those variables do. The "+1" inside the parentheses will take the graph of f(x) and move it one unit to the left on the coordinate plane. You can see this if you consider that f(0) = f(-1 + 1): the y-value for f(0) will now be at x = -1.

The 3 in front of the f will increase the amplitude of f by a factor of 3. In other words, where f(x) = 1, for instance, 3f(x) will be 3. If it's a periodic function, then the amplitude will increase by a factor of 3. If it's not, the slope will be increased by a factor of 3 at every point.

Lastly, the "+2" outside the parentheses will move the entire graph up by 2 units.

So: take the graph of f(x), shift it 1 unit left, 2 units up, and multiply the whole thing by 3.

first you have to multiply (x+1) by 3f which should give you 3fx+3f then you add 2 to that which should give you 3fx+3f+2 because you cannot add the two to anything else because it does not have a common factor with anything else.
