I have a project where I have to make up some crime thats either silly or stupid... it can't be real though. It has be something that a kid would do like
"refusing to do homework" or "eating candy on a school night"

i don't really like those.... and plus theyre already taken... any ideas?

i love to type. I would love to train as a person that types what the other person is saying--for a living---are there any colleges (on line) that will train you and then help find you a job without you leaving your home? Or is this a rediculous question?

I'm pushing 60, and the various things I am able to do narrow down a bit, but I can still love kids and seeing them light up when they learn something that matters to them. I am, to be blunt, itching to tutor home-schooled kids. How hard is that to set up? How do I establish my credentials? Maybe do some book reading or volunteering at the local library? Come on, home schooling parents, give me your best here. I'll be in St. Louis, Missouri, if that's relevant.

I have recently turned on to some very good stuff on DVD from The History Channel, and now I'm excited. What recommendations do you have about really quality informative stuff [National Geographic being the obvious example] I should look for on DVDs that was done for the better cable channels? What would you say is worth the price? (They ARE pricey, being multi-disk sets.)

I'm concerned for them as they grow into adult. Any suggestions I can offer to help them. How do you give your children social experiences to prevent social awkwardness.

Our once a month activities with our homeschooling groups, Lit Club, Homeschool Recess, Themed Party, Preschool Play time, Family Fun Night, Bowling, and one major field trip to a science center or other museum.

Our only thing that we do on a weekly basis, with a group, are library day, Gym, and Swim.

I was thinking of adding dance or something more for the little ones because the biggers have the swim but I think I might be getting close to our scheduling limits.

* I know it may look like a lot but there are 6 children that participate in almost all of the said things and each activity only lasts about 3 hours with the exception of the field trips.

What does your schedule look like?

Why do some people still think homeschooling parents can't homeschool and that we keep them locked away all day? For example, I had a teacher react to another question I asked and she assumed that I couldn't meet 6 levels of education that I needed to with my 6 children. But then assumed that I would have time to be able to sit with each of said children to do homework (gee sounds like teaching there) and getting up to the school to help out (gee sounds like more teaching there) Why do some people think that 25 or more children in a classroom with 25 different learning styles are going to be able to learn with one teaching style, but a parent that homeschools that can adapt to each child is going to do a bad job?
