Durg abuse is what happens when a dyslexic person deliberately uses an unprescribed, illegal or addictive substance to excess and/or for purely recreational purposes (I'm thinking of medications here).
In other words, if you don't have a cough (and a doctor's prescription) don't try to buy or take Romular (although I heard that they'd taken out the codeine which was why abusers were buying it in the first place).
And, don't forget: alcohol and tobacco are also both drugs which can readily and easily be abused!

Hi Beautiful Princess, how are ya. Drug abuse can take two different forms. First, drug abuse can be the taking of illicit drugs such as marijuana, crystal met, etc. The consumption of any of these illicit drugs is considered drug abuse. The second form is when people take prescription drugs that were not prescribed for them, such as Librium, Valium, certain cold medications containing codeine, etc, or take more than they have been prescribed to take. Often people will go to several doctors to get additional prescriptions.

Drug abuse can be defined as the habitual misuse of a chemical substance including illegal drugs, prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs. Habitual misuse of an addictive substance can lead to drug addiction. Drug addiction is the compulsive use of psychoactive drugs to the point where the user no longer has a choice but to continue taking the drug.
Good Luck..

Okay, there are two tpyes.
If you get perscription drugs, and you have pain killers and you are depresed. You don't think that they are working so you take more to "make you better" and you get in the habbit and you are over using your drugs, that is abusing it.
Second, there is illegal drugs and well they get addicting, and though they shouldn't be used, they get into a habbit.
Hope I helped : )
