Is it not possible to keep your children affiliated to a school so that they can provide the work the other children are doing and make sure they stick to the syllabus? I was tutored at home during my GCSEs but my school still provided the work I had to do. I also hope you've thought very carefully about removing your children from the main environment that will socialise them with peers through their formative years and teach them discipline and deadlines and how to get along with other people, else you might find they're in for a shock when they get into the real world

Contact the local council's Education Department and talk to them. They will be able to tell you about the support they can offer as a Department, and will hopefully put you in touch with other parents in the area who are teaching their kids at home.
Also have a look on the noticeboards of your local library and leisure centres for information on groups that you and your kids can join. You still want them to mix with other kids during the week.

I consider Firebird and Stewart. certain, 6 hours does look lots, yet when your children prefer to learn for that length of time, then effective! in my view, i imagine the nationwide Curriculum is naff. I domicile-ed my 13 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous and at the same time as she does have "training" we've decrease out dissimilar c**p that she grow to be being taught in college and altered it with different issues. She also does no longer do any topics that she dislikes inclusive of geography or the three important sciences. From my adventure, if a newborn isn't attracted to a topic, they don't look going to learn it. besides the undeniable fact that, she does stuff like astronomy, gardening, Latin, needlework, historic historic previous and literature etc, all of which she ought to no longer have done in college. i imagine that rural learn is a marvelous difficulty. They used to do it at my daughter's previous college yet stopped it years in the past this can be a shame. it is also tremendous that you're doing Spanish as children do earnings through getting to attraction to close languages early. do not difficulty about the EHE officer travelling. Our female is staggering and very useful. i assume besides the undeniable fact that, you're conscious that there is not any legal requirement for you to make certain anybody from the LEA or educate them examples of your newborn's paintings etc. I do keep a spread of diary, besides the undeniable fact that it is for our earnings and not in any respect the LEA's. you do not ought to keep any archives and also you'll prepare what you want. solid success! Edit: To Vivian. Your LEA has no actual to insist that you keep a diary. I in trouble-free terms keep one to jog my personal memory and that i do not educate it to anybody. when you're in Scotland besides the undeniable fact that, i imagine the guidelines will be diverse from England and Wales.

Hi, try www.education-otherwise.org You could also try netmums for local social contacts (although doesn't seem to be used much by parents of older children) and www.nc.uk.net to find out what national curriculum is if you're intending to follow it.
