- So, if you are home schooling your children, how do they prepare themselves for University requirements?

- Is it best to just enrol them in high school at say grade 10 so they can establish a GPA for a few years prior to graduation?

- Or is it better/easier for them to do some kind of equivalency tests in order to enter University (that sounds like it would be more difficult as tests would be all lumped together, while three years of school would be spread out)?

This November, I was diagnosed with depression, and ever since than, things have been really rocky for me.
One of the topics, school. I go to a small school, but my parents are worried that I might have to repeat the eighth grade because I'm constantly out of school, be it to see a doctor, or to go get a new bottle of anti-depressant pills.
I'm thinking that since I get really nerveous in crowds, homeschool might be better for me personally and academically, since my Dad is honestly quite a good teacher. But my parents are probably going to say no, because they think I'm trying to get an exscuse to get out of school, plus, to them, homeschooling probably seems like climbing mount everest right now.
How should I properly show them how homeschooling would be better for me?

You see here. I need a job so I can save up to go to college. There is one problem. I live on a lake with a whole bunch of resorts and that is all, and I live on one of thoughs resorts. Really you can't get a job here. There isn't any stores, malls, etc, and any where close to me that has a job available is an hour a way. Also, there are not many people here to do any babysitting or any thing. Expationally the winter. I need a job, and it also has to be a good paying job (partime). Also I live in BC, Canada. What can I do? Can some one help me please. Thanks

We just started Hamlet. At first it was like pulling teeth to get them motivated, but now that we've started they are on a roll. Reading it is so much fun now. Shakespeare can be difficult but we do have a cheatsheet in modern English in case we are all stuck on what is going on. They love reading parts in the play. They will put on different voices for each character. Now my question is: Are there any projects they can work on connected with Hamlet that they can work on when I'm not at home. Any ideas would be apprectiated. Thanks
