While it's not quite the same, it is somewhat like the International Baccalaureate--you can't do that either through homeschooling because the school program needs to be approved by the organization. FFA isn't just about being a member--there is accompanying coursework that needs to be done. It is very structured and involves classroom and lab work, as well as experiential time. They can't have people in the FFA portion who don't have the necessary knowledge and experience.

It depends on your state. In some states, children who are homeschooled may also take classes through the high school, even if it is only one or two. This has to do with laws governing your state. Some private schools will make the same arrangements.

I'm pretty sure you can be a member of FFA no matter whether you are in private or homeschooled. Same with 4-H. You should be able to participate because your parents pay taxes too like public school kids' parents do.

Because the private schoolers are thought of being to proper to be a farmer or a home maker and homeschooled people can't be regulated to have it.

Because there is a class that goes along with being a member of FFA it is harder to do than 4H. You could look into finding a Co-Op group with other members interested in taking the class and joining and see if you could not do it that way. I think it is just difficult to get that kind of commitment in a homeschool group. Good luck.

No! that's a generalized commentary between the two communities. once you evaluate the practise a pupil employing a HS software and getting the single on one that they get whilst in comparison with the mediocre software given to 30 little ones and no one on one. HS little ones basically can get a greater valuable practise via fact we don't flow on till they "get it." we've the time to stay on the comparable lesson as long because it takes. In public college they flow very in the present day and don't have the time to confirm each and each pupil is conscious the recent stuff in the previous shifting on. it incredibly is the reason HS little ones can do greater valuable on SATs. i visit declare which you have an benefit over HS little ones! maximum HS little ones do no longer do standardized tests and little or no customary tests. even with each thing the factor of a try is to ascertain the place the scholars are and what they have found out. mom and father of homestead schooled little ones comprehend what they found out we spent a week coaching that distinctive concept. all of us comprehend they comprehend and would flow on. As for adulthood go searching on the youngsters on your college. would you assert they are mature? What are their considerable hobbies? the different intercourse perchance? How they look? who's party are you going too this weekend? Their mom and pa are long gone! OH confident we are in a position to drink! and different issues that flow on at severe college events. there is greater to existence than those issues. homestead schooled little ones comprehend that. they may well be in touch in volunteer paintings, they are around diverse age communities each and all of the time. they do no longer look to be as attracted to how they look and who's going with who? Why the peer stress basically isn't there. they are allowed to mature speedier and are generally greater so than maximum young little ones their age. It does not make you stupid and immature. the actuality which you would be able to ask this question with none snide comments approximately how terrible you think of homestead education may well be factors to a adulthood point that some adults at right here have not got! do no longer complication approximately what's declared approximately adulthood even with each thing no longer all little ones are the comparable. have self belief it or no longer there are nonetheless a lot of immature HS little ones available.

That's a program sponsored through the Department of Agriculture if it pertains to Farmers and if it's homemakers it's FHA. Homeschooled children are not granted the opportunity to partake in a lot of things that's why I am against it.
