to get a bachelors degree

I am going to an Ivy League med school. I'm doing really well (even though my school is pass/fail, I'm at the top of my class). It's just that I have no real interest in medical research (but I always have to pretend I do) and I hate saying that medicine is my passion & that I find it so rewarding & fascinating (as you always have to do in essays, etc) when it's not true.
I really love more artistic things like classical music and fine arts. It's just that I have always been afraid of not finding a job, (which would be hard in the art field) or winding up like my parents (with dead end jobs).

I also have a huge fear of "catching" AIDS, etc. and I know if sounds bad but when we have to do volunteer work in homeless shelters or drug clinics, I am going to be terrified to take blood, etc.
When I graduate, I could always work at a college of medicine, and not actually practice. Or something else that doesn't provoke my fear of blood/AIDS.
Should I continue or is my career doomed?

With me being in my second semester of my freshman year in college I have caught on quick to the "academic world". It seems like to me that now a days only people with a lot of money are able to go to school. I know some will say that there are plenty of scholarships, and finacial aid out there for people, but not everyone can get a scholarship, and sometimes financial aid does not pay for everything. It seems as if the system is designed to keep the poor at teh bottom and to make sure that the rich stay at the top. Even though I am not apart of high society I want to learn too so why will an education leave me in debt for the rest of my life? For the amount of money that I pay for school I could just buy some books and learn on my own. It certainly seems as if the past if reoccuring, because i remember that about 100 years ago only the rich could afford to go to college I guess America wants those days to come back.

Seriously, what the heck are you gonna do with a History degree or a Literature degree? The only jobs in those fields are teaching. There's no money to be made.

I picked a real major, Mechanical Engineering. Suffice to say, people in my major also aren't turned into military hating left-wing nutcases.

I'm a senior right now, and I'm goning to be going to college in the Fall, but no one, not even teachers, has told me this...

How much does is cost for 4 years of college? Plus Graduate school? Because, I heard that in order to have a Ph.D. in Psychology, I have to go to graduate school. And I looked at the tuition for in-state students and its about 6 to 9 thousand dollars. So does anybody know how much is 4 years of college plus graduate school is going to cost me?

By the way, I'm thinking about going to Clemson, South Carolina State or North Carolina Central, if that helps.

It's a college course on business communication in regards to inclusive language/making language nonsexist, nonracist, nonagist, and quoting from biased sources...Here are the few I need help with...
1. The minister joined the couple together as man and wife. (I said no change on this one, what do you think?)
2. It's hard to believe that a woman her age could accomplish so much. (I have no idea how to change this one, but it's defienetly agist.)
3. The law from the 1800s mandated that men could buy alcohol and cigarettes only from a state store. (I put no change on this one as well, but it is under the category of quoting biased sources)
4. The employee guide indicated that men could add their spouses to their health care plan. ( I put: The employee guide indicated that "Men [sic] could add their spouses to their health care plan." (I have no idea if that is right either!) Please help...Assignment due tomorrow! Thanks...PS: I got all the other's with no problems at all!

Well, If you do, please respond. I am trying to get a outlook on my future and trying to decide a college I'd like to go to. There are so many and I just don't know which ones are good. I'd like to major in Elementary Education or work somewhere in a business. *I'm good with computers and things like that* I just don't know...so to conclude..if you go to one near here...Could you just tell me about it some maybe. I don't want it to cost too much, but still want to get the right amount of education out of it. So if you could just say what it is and some info, that would be great. Thanks!

I'm not sure if I'm understanding how specializations in Law school works, if anyone can clarify this for me I'll be very thankful.

I want to go into this field b/c I'm really interested in the patent process as well as protecting trademarks, since I've been in the side of creating them. If I get a great LSAT scored, will I have a shot at getting in with my current degree? My College GPA was 3.56 and I graduated with honors and distinction.
