I'm confused about how you earn college degrees.

If you go to community college for two years, do you automatically get a Associates Degree in [insert profession here]? What's exactly the point in taking Community College for 4 years?

Another question is if you can take two community college years, earn an Associates Degree. THEN transfer to a better college and take two years there to get a Bachelors?

Why do you think our college educational system makes us take a bunch of classes that have nothing to do with our majors? I understand the fact that they are try to get us well-rounded, however isn't that what the 12 years of grade school were for? As an example I am taking criminal law to become a police officer. There are 27 credits worth of criminal law and the other 33 credits are completed non-related crap I have no interest in. Seriously am I going to have to one day solve for x when someone is shooting at me working the streets? Just my opinion, anyone else feel this way?

anybody know the specific heat capacity of water at 100C? Y'know, right before the Hv is overcome and it turns to steam? I know it's 4.184 at 25C... raaawr, I'd kill for something more than my steam tables...

I took up a Business major in my community college. It sucks. I hardly ever go. I'm not even remotely interested in what I'm doing, and my classes are way too early, therefore I rarely bother to show up. 3/4 of my classes I have horrible grades in. I'm seriously considering going to beauty school (even though I'm horrible at doing hair..still worth a go?). Should I continue for the next semester? I have no idea what I'm interested in pursuing as a career. All I know is I want a job that is centered around my interests: hair, makeup, beauty, fashion etc. I don't want a boring office job!! Any advice, PLEASE?

I am 2 months into the third and final year of my BA hons graphic design degree. But I'm not happy with it anymore, I hate going into lectures and I find the work a drag. I have thought about taking a year out to work, or find some work experience, then going back to it.

Another option is to quit my degree, and find a job, but what are my prospects? Do employers avoid taking on people who didn't finish their degrees? I still want to go into graphic design, but I feel so lost at the moment.

I would love to hear from people who were/are in similar situations and their opinions.

I bought some preperatory guides also..What is the best way to prepare for these exams..? Is it compulsory to study all the lessons from all 6 books (or) can we omit some portions unneeded..? AIPM/PD Prospectus gives its syllabus for exam but it not covered all the lessons of CBSE..Can any experienced AIPMT exam taker guide me for victory?
