I took up a Business major in my community college. It sucks. I hardly ever go. I'm not even remotely interested in what I'm doing, and my classes are way too early, therefore I rarely bother to show up. 3/4 of my classes I have horrible grades in. I'm seriously considering going to beauty school (even though I'm horrible at doing hair..still worth a go?). Should I continue for the next semester? I have no idea what I'm interested in pursuing as a career. All I know is I want a job that is centered around my interests: hair, makeup, beauty, fashion etc. I don't want a boring office job!! Any advice, PLEASE?

Withdraw from your classes before the bad grades are permanently recorded on your transcript. Having bad marks in community college could make it impossible for you to attend a school you love later.

Next, think about narrowing down what you want to do in the fashion industry. Do you want to work with your hands? You could be a hairdresser, manicurist or makeup artist. Would you like to work with celebrities? You could be a personal shopper, stylist, PR person or personal assistant. Would you like to work for a fashion magazine as a writer, editor, photographer or advertising salesperson? Would you want to work for a big cosmetics or clothing company in the marketing, finance, sales or design/development department?

Once you've narrowed it down, start thinking about what you'll have to do to reach your goals. Do you need more education? Do you need connections? Do you need a portfolio? Chances are you'll have to start at the bottom and work your way up. You might have to do some volunteer work as well (writing the Style column for a local newspaper or volunteering to dress the extras for a community theatre production).

I think you need to take a break from school until you make up your mind what you really want to do. All you are accomplishing now is lowering your GPA. There is no sense in taking classes you do not like, but if you do, you should at least follow through with your choice and make the best of it.
Some of us work very hard to pay for classes, and take them very seriously. There is no sense in going to college until you are dedicated to studying, know what you want, and then do the best you can.

I'd stop going and stop wasting your or your parent's money. You may need to stay inj school though for insurance purposes (health/car/etc.) you may want to contact them to see if anything will change in your coverage should you drop out of school.
