When reading difficult material slowly in order to understand it fully, how can I avoid my eyes going 'cross eyed' after prolonged periods of reading?

I sometimes catch myself sitting there reading with one eye shut so I can clearly read the material. Then I straighten up my eyes and refocus and everything is fine. After a few minutes, I'm right back to squinching my eyes.

I don't think I need glasses, because I can read everything clearly, it's just that they tend to run together for some reason. This only happens when I'm concentrating really hard on what I'm reading.

This is very annoying and hinders my study. Anyone have any suggestions?

I will be an Int'l student and have taken TOEFL. In 1 year I would have completed my undergrad studies from India in Commerce field (bcom) and i already hold a diploma in Interiors. I am working currently and have completed one year at my current job with an impressive portfolio. Now to further enhance my design skills and gain a wider perceptive, I am seeking a Bachelors degree in Interior Design and I was wondering if it would require a SAT. I want to get the course done in 2 years at max, as i already have a diploma, i might not have to take all courses. Which universities offer such program and how much would they cost? Also are they reputed and Accredited colleges? If it would be close to New Jersey it would be awesome.. Thanks for helping me make an important decision in my life.

I plan on graduating with an undergrad in Dec. My grade point average has been all over the place. Are there any schools that will take people with a grade point average that is 2.0-25, but do really well on the GRE or write some good essays, or will they only take people who are 3.0 and above? Maybe I should try and get a second bachelors degree to pull up my grades a little.

I love criminal law. BUT, I know nothing about contracts, tax law, real estate law, civil litigation, corporate law, patent law ect.

I have the GPA, volunteer work, and all that good stuff so don't think I would have any problem getting accepted.

If I went to Law School just because I love criminal law would it be a mistake?

I am taking my prenursing classes at a local university. I am then going to a 16 month nursing school and hoping to get a job as an RN so I can finish my BSN with tuition reimbursement through the hospital I work. I have a family member who insists that they are better because they went to a four year college and got their BSN. Is there a difference? I am tired of feeling belittled for doing the best I can.
