Well, conventional wisdom will tell you to get a degree in something like business - to be trained for a future career. I believe, however, that you would be wise to follow the traditional majors - arts and humanities. You can get a general liberal arts degree or you can major in something more specific like literature. For hundreds of years a person was not considered educated unless they were taught the humanities because the humanities teach you how to think and communicate. It's too bad we've lost tat today.

in demand are degrees in fields like medical physics,biomedical engineering, chemical engineering,
you get a bachelors and masters and your starting salary is around $ 70,000 or more
medical physics starting salary is close to $80,000 - $100,000

Humanities is a good base if you intend to go into MBA or law. I especially like economics undergrad with MBA. IMO very valuable.
