I have been working in my chosen profession for almost 10 years and want t go back to school full time to earn my MBA. The challenge is I can not afford not to work. Does anybody have any suggestions for a single mother to keep a float while she goes back to school? I would even work on the weekends.

I am moving across the country (from OH to NC) and I'm going to need to transfer to a new school. I have a low GPA due to entering a major I was not prepared for and not putting the effort in I needed to. I need to get into a school, though. Is my only option community college?

I hate the courses. I hate the jobs that appear to be available to me (my major is physics). Yet at the same time, I don't know what else I WOULD want to do, should I change my program. I don't really have any interests, or at least any interests that I would want to turn into careers, so don't advise me to "do what I like", because I don't know what that is. I guess what I'm asking is, should I complete the 2 years of classes (+ 4 paid co-op work terms), or should I do something else?

In what ways has thinking critically influenced the way you read, write, and process information? As you evaluated information presented in articles, advertising, media, and conversations, what surprised you most? How will you continue to use critical thinking skills in the future?

I am writing a paper on how President Bush has used religion to make certain decisions in passing and vetoing laws. I am targeting gay rights, the war in Iraq, and the pledge of allegience being said in schools as my main topics, but am stuck on where I can find information on how his religious preferences have affected his decisions. Can anyone help me find a good source for my paper? I have little information right now and need a few more references.

If you have taken an online course, please share your experiences. :) Thanks!

I have no job and no cash to make it worse I have no gas in my car !!!! and to make all that worse rent is coming up !!!! I left school my junior year. Everytime I went to go get my GED I ended up getting to high and didn't go! Should I get my GED try for a fafsa loan and go to a trade school or community college? or just continue looking for a job someplace? I have worked at all the fast food places and got fired from each one! The steel mill I worked at fired me for lighting c4 off ( got from a trucker ), every other place either laid me off or fired me or I quit becuase I thought I had enough money to be a drug dealer kingpin. Turns out I never had enough money to do that. I'm not a bad guy I just need advice, do I continue down this road with no jobs and nothing praying for a break ( odds are it won't happen ) or actually go get my GED this time and go back to school and get some kind of degree? Please no BS answers, need some good solid advice.

Where can a mature aged person obtain a University Degree using his past life experience to qualify and be accepted ? I understand some Univesities do this , the same as some Universities issue out Honorary Doctorate Degrees.I would like to know if there is any University that can be contacted in Australia,or overseas , who would consider issueing a Degree based strictly on past life experience , in relation to the degree.
Thats my question, do you know any University ?

Poem by Martial (Marcus Valerius Martialis)

Here are the things, dear friend, which make life not impossible to take:
Riches bequeathed, not won by toil;
Fire on the hearth; responsive soil;
No law suits but wise disarmingness;
A healthy body, and a mind alert,
But peaceably inclined;
Congenial guests; a table set
Without excessive etiquette;
Nights free from worry,
A bed warm with the presence
Of a significant other,
Slumber, to make the shadows swift,
Contentment with your native gifts;
And, without longing or dismay,
The prospect of your final day.
