I came up with the x intercept=(-2,0) and the y-intercept=(0,-8) the vertex being (1,-9) is that right? Show work and steps if possible.

Well, for your x and y intercepts, if the values work when you plug into the equation, then you got them right.

The vertex is where the derivative is zero, so if you take derivative and plug in (1,-9) and it works, then you got that right too.

If you got the right answers, you either did the work so can show it yourself, or you looked up the answers in the back of the book and want us to do the work for you so you can include it in your homework!

I hope my hints above are enough to get you to do and show your own work.

hmm.. the vertex looks correct. yes, the y and x intercept are correct too because -2^2-2(-2)-8=-8
