I am a high school senoir in Kansas and am thinking about going to Reed College near Portland, Oregon. It looks really cool online and in the mail they sent me, but of course you never know until you visit.
Since Oregon is really far away I am on unfamiliear ground. Do you know when the best time to visit would be? Is there any general information I should know? Do you think the university would be willing to drive me from the airport to their college? If anyone has any information about travelling alone, travelling to Oregon, or visiting a faraway college, it would be much appreciated.

We're freshmen, in a nice dorm, but it's small, and I don't want us to both show up with a tv and fridge, etc. We HAVE to talk, but she won't email me back. I guess I've only emailed once, but I don't want to seem like a freak either. I called the Res life today just to check if she was still my roommie and they said that her mother had just called, but couldn't say why. Argh, I just want to choose a color scheme and decide who's bringing the tv!!

The topic should not be too broad, it should have a particular focus for example on a certain problem. I was thinking of writing on the 'removal of the executor'. Please help!

Are Clearings only available to prospective students who've been denied places on the colleges they applied to, or can I register with UCAS now, to have a go?

I am a senoir in high school and have to apply to colleges this year. I have decided to apply to one of the Ivy League schools, in keeping with the saying "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars.". In other words, I don't hope to get in, but the curiosity would kill me later in life if there was some chance I would have made it.
That said, I don't want to apply for them all since it costs $40 for each application. I figure they would either all accept me or all deny me. So which one should I apply to?
