I'm a pre-medical student as an Economics major. I just finished my freshman year of college and I'm going to start my pre-medical coursework in the fall. Is general chem hard?? I won an award for work in my pre-req to gen chem this past year. The only part i hate is the labs because they take up so much of the time. Is there any way to make them fun or amusing?

I'm a senior undergraduate at a university in the United States. I am applying to graduate schools for a MS (or MSci in the UK) in the UK as well as in America. I'm encountering some unfamiliar UK terminology in my applications and wonder if anyone can help.

-What does first and second class translate to in terms of an America GPA scale (on scale of 4.0; 4.0=A. 3.0=B, 2.0=C, etc.)?
-Is 2:1 just short hand for 1st/2nd class?...wasn't sure...
-PRS?
-What are "gathered fields"? All I could find is that this is how each field of study is assessed.
I'm very new to international applications, so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks! :-)

I am still in high school (a junior), but Pre-Medicine is something i've considered studying in college. I have a 3.0 GPA, and i've taken science and math classes such as physical science, biology, algebra 1, geometry, and this coming year im taking algebra 2 and chemistry honors. Senior year i plan on taking pre-calculus for math, and human anatomy for science...do you think with these classes and GPA i could get into a pre-medicine curriculum in college, if i keep up the grades this year and next year?
