yes, I seem to loose respect for someone who cannot spell correctly, it shows that they don't about themselves so why should I?

Yes, it is off putting. I was a schoolteacher..the first grade and by second grade they were developing skills that as teenagers they've destroyed.
As a volunteer,, I recently helped grade essays that had to be hand written, and, horrors, no spell check! Their essays were pathetic. Only 2 students of 30 got a passing grade, both c's.
I'm not mad, just disgusted. Something has to give with the teaching methods . Instead of brains and skills our kids are dependent on machines.
How amusing that you ask your question on the Higher Education section. Lost your place didn't you, or couldn't you find a section for Dumb And Dumber?

Yea, me too. I was looking over my 1st grade words. Oh my goodness. I was pissed that I couldn't spell.
Online people are just lazy to make their figers type right!
