It's 18 credit hours. Generally, a credit hour equates to one class room hour, except for labs, where it is either 2 or three hours.

It depends... 18 credits is usually the maximum that colleges will let students take without special permission. Your classes don't look too difficult - if it was 18 hours of engineering courses, I'd tell you to not even think about it. Maybe you could, instead of one of your three-credit classes, replace it with a 1 or 2 credit seminar type class in a similar subject? I'm pretty sure you can handle more than 15, but 18 is a bit much for still being dual-enrolled.

Each class is worth a different amount of credit hours. For example a class is usually worth 3 credit hours but can be worth more. Last semester I had 18 credit hours. It was the combination of 5 classes. 3 classes were worth 3 credit hours, 1 class was worth 4 credit hours, and 1 class was worth 5 credit hours. Added together 3+3+3+4+5=18 credit hours.

A "credit hour" means how many credits the class is valued at, and reflects the approximate number of hours you'll be in that class each week. For example, a 4 credit hour class means completeing that course gives you 4 units toward the total needed for your degree. You'll probbaly be in class for an hour to two hours each session, depending on whether it's MWF or TTh. The average full-time student takes between 12-16 credit hours every semester.

Originally, classes were designated by the number of hours you were in class each week. Most classes were three hours, which means they met for either one-hour three times per week, or 1.5 hours twice per week.

Today, it just means they're taking about 6 classes. Typically, 12 credit hours or over is considered full-time. Most degree programs require you to take about 15 credit hours each sememster to earn a Bachelor's degree in four years (pharmacology and arcitecture are the big exceptions at five years).

per week. Most college courses are 3 credit hours, and they meet mon, wed, and fri, for an hour. You add those up and thats 3 hours.

So someone taking 18 is taking 18 hours worth of classes per week.

im guessing they mean theyre taking 18 credit hours. typically classes are worth three hours (one for each day a week they meet) each so they are taking 6 classes.
