Ive been there and I like it. College is faster and cheaper. I have family there too. The only thing thats a biggie for me is the adjustments I have to make. There are a lot things I have to put into consideration. But i still have 2-3 years left before I graduate high school. My decision now is to not go over.

I plan to apply to UCSD. I would like to know what is the average tuition at UCSD, including dorm and food. I am a California resident. I spoke to a friend, he said that tuition should not cost more than 16,000 including dorm and food. (He goes there, but he does not pay so he is not sure.) That cost seems way to low because I checked collegeboard.com, they said it cost like 25,000?

I'm a Junior in college this fall. All my life i wanted to be a teacher. So as soon as I got into college two years ago I choose Elementary education as my major...Now im slowly starting to loose interest in my major and starting to gain interest in Nursing. I have a 3.89 gpa. And also my boyfriend is in his last year of medical school and he will be starting his residency in a couple months. So i want to be a nurse so i can spend more time with him as well. My question is, is it a good idea to change my major now when Im a junior?

This is an opinion question.
I have finished one year of college and feel as though it matters very little, especially at larger colleges. If you're not an athlete or a demi-celebrity, it is near impossible (in my opinion) to gain the type of popularity so many people covet in high school.

Who else loves school and feels incredibly lucky to be going? We aren't really struggling for money just getting by, we live in a moderate (will be better once I finish school) home drive a nice car, my daughter has everything she could possibly need, we have food in our belly and I get a full Pell grant which I'm so blessed to have. There just is NO excuse for low income people not to go to get an education and better their lifestyles. With all the pell grants and financial aide. Am I right?
