I have the basic tools, but all the websites I have been to don't explain it in a simple manner. Keep it simple please.

Inscribe a circle with a compass.
Using a protractor, mark off five points, each 72 degrees from each other. Connect points with straight lines. Erase circle.

Use a ruler and a pencil to draw a faint, five-pointed star. Then, draw lines around the outside of the star (connect-the-dot style). Lastly, erase the star!
